Product overview

This is an in-process COM-server providing various information about logical disks from such scripting languages as VBScript (WSH, ASP), T-SQL, or even from such programming languages as Visual Basic that can deal with COM.

Following information is available:
= the list of available disks
= for each disk: a drive type, a volume name, a serial number, a file system name, file system flags (properties), a total capacity, and a free space
= disk quota information (since the version 1.1.0.66 of the component)
= special directories: windows, system, temp
= the name of the local computer, the name of the currently logged user

Installation procedure

The installation package contains a usual installation program that installs the component itself, all required libraries, and documentation files. A default installation folder is C:\Program files\AbyssLabs\DiskInfo.
